Living Streets Design Manual and Aviation Boulevard Multimodal Corridor Plan
Project Description: The cities of Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Hermosa Beach, and the Southern California Association of Governments are partnering with Caltrans for improvements in the local transportation system by developing a Living Streets Design Manual (Manual) and the Aviation Boulevard Multimodal Corridor Plan (“Plan”).
The Living Streets Manual and Aviation Boulevard Multimodal Corridor Plan has two components: 1) to develop a Living Streets Manual and 2) to propose potential multimodal improvements on Aviation Boulevard through the South Bay region. Specifically, it will customize the Los Angeles County Living Streets Manual for the three South Bay cities and use it as a framework for potential improvements on Aviation Boulevard through the South Bay. The current Draft Living Streets Manual is available for download here.
As part of the project, there were three (3) community workshops to solicit ideas and comments during the development of the Living Streets Design Manual and Aviation Boulevard Multimodal Corridor Plan.
