As part of Climate Ready Manhattan Beach, the City of Manhattan Beach is using virtual reality to help residents and visitors better understand the impacts of sea level rise and their role in implementing climate solutions. The areas featured in the video include a 360 degree view of the Manhattan Beach Pier, Bruce's Beach and El Porto. Using sea level rise models developed the U.S. Geological Survey, these visualizations demonstrate what the City of Manhattan Beach’s coast could look like with 3 feet of sea level rise, high tides, and big waves. Following the videos, the City asks that you take the time for a short survey, which allows the public to provide input on resiliency and carbon reduction strategies.  For more information, please visit Climate Ready MB.
