Home Menu2015 Community Budget Priorities Meeting
The City's first Community Budget Priorities Meeting was held on March 5, 2015 as part of a new, comprehensive budget process designed to further engage the community in the development of the City's budget. This new process was introduced by City officials at the January 6, 2015, City Council meeting. More information on the City's 2015 Budget Policies and Process can be found here.
The meeting was well attended by nearly 150 residents. City officials shared information about the decisions that go into making the budget, various spending and revenue constraints, and the trade-offs that have to be made in funding services and programs. Feedback provided by attendees was used as a guide during the development of the fiscal year 2015/16 budget as well as for long-range planning. The budget, and long-range fiscal planning, reflects what the Manhattan Beach community wants to accomplish.
