If you do not want to register online, you may mail in your registration form, register in-person at City Hall, or drop off your registration form via City Hall drop boxes (located in front of City Hall and near the Library drop box) prior to the registration date. Forms received via mail and drop-off will begin to be processed on registration day. Mail

  • Mail in registration form (PDF) to:

  • Include payment on form (check payable to "City of Manhattan Beach" or credit card)
  • Make sure to sign Release of Liability and Cardholder Signature if paying with a credit card
  • Receipt will be emailed to you

Drop Off in City Hall Drop Box

  • You may drop off your registration form in drop boxes located in front of City Hall and near the Library drop box at any time
  • Pay using check or credit card
  • Please put your registration form and payment in an envelope, with ATTN: Parks and Recreation Registration on the front of the envelope
  • Make sure to sign Release of Liability and Cardholder Signature if paying with a credit card
  • Receipt will be emailed to you

Refund Policy

  1. A full refund (including convenience fees) will be issued for any program, activity, or event that is canceled for any reason by the Parks and Recreation Department.

  2. Any person who requests a refund before the second class may receive a refund minus the convenience fee. Refund/Transfer Request Form (PDF) must be submitted for all refund requests. Workshops, camps and bus excursions not included. Contact (310) 802-5448 for more information.

  3. For workshops, camps and bus excursions any person requesting a refund 5 business days before the camp starts may receive a refund minus the convenience fee. Contact (310) 802-5448 for refund details. 

  4. Download the Refund/Transfer Request Form (PDF), fill the form out completely and submit the completed form to the Parks and Recreation Department. Please include any necessary documentation such as a doctor's note if applicable. You may also have a form faxed or mailed to you by calling (310) 802-5448 or you may pick up a form at Manhattan Beach City Hall, Parks and Recreation Department, Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

General Policies

  • Residents are defined as individuals residing in Manhattan Beach.
  • Acceptable ID: photo ID, driver's license, utility bill with Manhattan Beach address is needed to verify residence.
  • Advanced registration is required for all classes.  You cannot register after the second class meeting, unless you have a note from the instructor.  Fee will not be prorated.
  • All activities, dates and fees are subject to change.
  • Classes not reaching required enrollment may be canceled and refunds for activity fee are issued.
  • Must be the age specified for the activity by the start of the class.  Proof may be required for all classes for ages 2 to 16 (i.e., birth certificate, passport).
  • False information regarding name, age, city or address, etc., results in being dropped without refund.  You may be asked for ID at the first class.
  • No registration will be taken over the phone or via email.
  • When registering by mail, your name will automatically be placed on a waiting list when a class is full.  You will be notified by the Parks and Recreation Department if there is an opening. Do not attend the first class if you have not been notified to do so.
  • The online registration service requires a nonrefundable convenience fee of 6.45% of the total charges.
