WEEKLY CRIME REPORT
Each week, the Manhattan Beach Police Department’s Community Affairs Office disseminates a weekly crime report to our community and our local businesses. The crime report is also posted on Instagram (@ManhattanBchPD). MBPD informs the community of crime incidents in our city and provides crime prevention tips that may prevent future crimes. MBPD divides the city into 4 Patrol Areas. This division allows us to better map crime and identify crime trends.
COMMUNITY POLICE ACADEMY
Each year, the Community Affairs Section presents and hosts a “Community Police Academy,” designed to educate residents and local business people on various aspects of law enforcement. It also offers a deeper understanding of the issues and policies that a MBPD officer deals with on a daily basis. Participants graduate with a greater appreciation of MBPD’s role in maintaining public safety in the community. To learn more about the next Community Police Academy, please call (310) 802-5184 or view the Community Police Academy Brochure (PDF). If you would like to be considered for participation in the next Academy, please complete the Community Police Academy Application.
