Holiday Light Exchange -- Trade in Your Old Lights for Free!!
The South Bay Environmental Services Center is offering SCE customers free energy efficient holiday lights. Residents may bring two old sets of electricity-guzzling holiday light strands containing any number of lights or color, and exchange them for two new LED 100-bulb, multi-color, holiday light strands (no white this year). Supplies are limited, and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
LED holiday lights use 80% less energy than the old ones and will last 100,000 hours, which is about 20 years! Limit two strands per household. Participants must bring their SCE bill or driver's license to validate their address, and will be required to sign in.
While you are turning in your lights at SBESC, be sure to browse the lobby area for energy and water saving information from our other partners: Southern California Gas, West Basin Municipal Water District, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Los Angeles County, and the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County.
SBESC hours are Monday though Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If you have any questions please call (310) 371-7222 for more information.
