Dinner of Champions will honor three-time Olympic gold medalist and beach volleyball legend Karch Kiraly and benefit the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation

Founded in 2005 by the AVP and Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Manhattan Beach Open Dinner of Champions honors past winners of the prestigious Manhattan Beach Open. Since 1960, the Manhattan Beach Open has been the most important event in the world of beach volleyball featuring the best players from the United States. The City of Manhattan Beach memorializes the winning teams by installing a bronze plaque on the pier with their names etched for all to see. The City of Manhattan Beach and the Manhattan Beach Open represent the epitome of the California beach lifestyle admired around the world. The AVP donates a portion of the proceeds to charity each year. This year’s charity is the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation.

Manhattan Beach Education Foundation: Founded in 1983, the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation raises money to improve Manhattan Beach public schools. It pays for teachers or educators that the state of California does not fund or require but our parents and educators consider necessary for a quality education.
