On Saturday, May 21st you will have the opportunity to view several solar arrays, and other sustainable features during the 3rd Annual Solar Homes Tour in Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach residents have volunteered to open their homes to you for this unique opportunity to see first-hand how solar power works in a residential setting.
Beginning at 8:30 AM you can start a tour of seven Manhattan Beach homes and become familiar with the benefits of solar power. Homes featured on the tour also have several other sustainable amenities that will interest you, including: solar hot water, cool roofs, tankless water heaters, a vegetable garden with drip irrigation and compost bin, koi ponds and waterfalls, and enough solar power to meet or exceed the home's energy needs.
Please see the attached Manhattan Beach Solar Homes Tour flyer (PDF) for the tour schedule and directions to each of the homes. If you have any questions, please contact Lillian Light at (310) 648-4787.
