The Pacific Avenue Reconsurfacing Project has been proceeding smoothly, thanks to everyone's cooperation! The next few days will be the most critical part of the project, as grinding is set to begin on Wednesday, July 27th, with paving of the street slated for Thursday and Friday, July 28th and 29th.
Access to properties may be intermittantly blocked while operations and equippment move along the street and are in front of driveways. This restricted access may last as long as 90 minutes; however, that length of delay is not expected in most instances.
On the paving dates, sufficient time will also be required to allow the asphalt pavement to cure before any vehicles are allowed to drive over it. This process will take 90 minutes at the most, depending upon conditions.
Everything possible will be done to minimize the impact on residences in the area. However, please realize this is a major street reconstruction project. If you need to drive through the construction zone during these days, please allow for additional commuting time.
Street parking will be prohibited during the day (7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) on both the grinding and paving dates.
We thank you again for your patience and cooperation with this important infrastructure improvement project. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact:
