Los Angeles County will improve the Marvin Braude bike path from 45th Street to its southerly limit in Torrance. Work in Manhattan Beach will consist of replacement of damaged portions of the concrete bike path and construction of new concrete bike path to replace asphalt segments adjacent to County Lifeguard/maintenance buildings at Rosecrans and Marine Avenues.
The work will be completed in phases according to the attached schedule provided by the County project management staff. Bike traffic will be detoured around the work in each phase via Ocean Avenue as provided in their Local Coastal Permit. Only one detour phase will take place at a time and no weekend detours are allowed.
If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact: Steve Finton, City Engineer (310) 802-5352.
