The September 26, 2012 Planning Commission meeting has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting is October 10, 2012. A Planning Commission meeting will also take place on October 3, 2012 to discuss the Manhattan Village Shopping Center Enhancement Project.

The Planning Commission meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 PM as scheduled. Please view the City Calendar for any updates or cancellations. The Planning Commission is responsible for long-range planning activities, including major use permits, commercial planned development permits, zone changes, code amendments, and modification to long-range planning documents, including the City’s General Plan and Local Coastal Plan.

Meetings are broadcast live through Manhattan Beach Local Community Cable Channels (Time Warner Channel 8 and Verizon Channel 35), and Live Webcast via the City's website. Most meetings are rebroadcast at 12:00 PM and 8:30 PM on the Friday and Sunday following the Wednesday meeting on the Community Cable Channels and Live Webcast. If a City Council meeting falls in the same week as a Planning Commission meeting, the Commission meeting will be replayed the next week on Thursday at Noon.
