Drip Irrigation Demonstration

Come learn about efficient ways to water your landscape

Are you looking for an efficient, non-chemical way to irrigate your property? Did you know that drip irrigation can cut your water use in half? Find out more by attending the first of the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden's Spring classes on Saturday, March 31st at 9:00 AM. The session will feature Enviroscape's Mike Garcia, and Dave Palumbo of Rain Bird.

LMB sustainable gardenThe Leadership Manhattan Beach Class of 2012 is facilitating this free demonstration at the site of the soon to be landscaped downtown Post Office. The landscape was recommended for a sustainable demonstration garden project by the City's Environmental Task Force. The Leadership Manhattan Beach class has taken on this project, and will complete the site renovation over the next few months.

To RSVP for this free drip irrigation demonstration, please email Julie Gonella or call her at 310-546-1354.

More drip irrigation information
Rain Bird's new drip irrigation system is made of strong, flexible polyethylene. This system features Rain Bird's new “Copper Shield” technology, which incorporates tiny strips of copper that create negative ions, resulting in a natural, non-chemical way to repel roots, thus preventing clogging of drip irrigation emitters. This method is effective and efficient, and will cut water use in half.
