Calling all Manhattan Beach residents and businesses - it's time for a little "Spring Cleaning!" Get out all those old paper billing statements and other sensitive documents you no longer need and bring them to the Citywide Paper Shredding Event! This event will occur annually as part of the city's new solid waste contract (future dates and locations may be different). Waste Management will partner with Goodwill's "Shred-4-Good" program to provide this much-requested service for Manhattan Beach residents and business owners.
The first three (3) boxes are FREE; $5 for each additional box. Please note, paper brought to the event will be sorted in a secure truck and shredded at a secure off-site location and recycled.
The newest Goodwill Donation Store opened on September 30, 2011 in Manhattan Beach! If during your quest for old documents you come across household items or clothing you would like to donate, please bring them to the Goodwill store located at 1145 West Artesia Boulevard. No Goodwill donations will be accepted at the shredding event.
The document destruction process is safe and confidential, and the shredded paper will be recycled. If you need additional document destruction services throughout the year, visit the city's Document Destruction page.
