The Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association presents the 2012 Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race on August 26, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Started in 1955, this 32-mile marathon, known as the "Grand-daddy of all Paddleboard Races" ends at the Manhattan Beach Pier. This historic race attracts paddlers from all over the world. Many of the paddlers use this renowned event, which draws hundreds of spectators, to raise money for their favorite charities.
