Where will you be on Park(ing) Day? Join the Blue Zones Project at the Manhattan Beach Pier this Friday, September 20th, from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM to participate in this international day to create temporary parks and open space.
Two parking stalls near the Pier will be converted into temporary active spaces featuring mini-golf, yoga and tai chi demonstrations, a bike decoration station for kids, and lots of fun giveaways. As an added treat, Catalina Coffee Company will provide free coffee and coupons to attendees.
Special prizes will be given to those who bike, skate, or walk to the Manhattan Beach Pier and join in this unique celebration of open space. To see some examples of how other cities celebrate Park(ing) Day, please visit the website.
