The City invites the public to attend the Accela Automation Implementation Kickoff meeting! What is Accela Automation? It is a sophisticated permitting system that will replace the City's current Permits Plus program. Accela Automation will streamline permit processing, plan checking and inspections services in the Community Development Department.

One of the three-year goals identified in the City’s Strategic Plan is to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The Accela Automation project is designed to provide accessible, efficient and cost-effective permitting services. The capability of the new system for performing electronic document review will aid the City to migrate towards a paperless plan review process. Accela Automation will help Community Development be more efficient with permit processing and will greatly enhance customer service.

The project kickoff meeting includes a formal presentation by the project team to review the solution, project objectives, methodology, timeline, roles and responsibilities, risks, and other key project elements with project stakeholders.
