Labor Day is a holiday observed by Waste Management and Athens Services, and therefore a modified refuse and street sweeping service schedule will be implemented.
Refuse All residential collection from Monday, September 1 through Friday, September 5 will be delayed one day. Therefore, those who have scheduled refuse service on Monday will have their trash, recycling, and green waste picked up on Tuesday; and those who have scheduled refuse service on Friday will have their trash, recycling, and green waste picked up on Saturday instead.
Street Sweeping
Residential street sweeping will not occur on Monday, September 1st and will not be made up. All other route days will operate as usual. The Police Department will not enforce street sweeping parking restrictions on Monday, September 1st due to the Labor Day holiday.
