Protect Your Landscape from El Nino

Free Class at the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden

We’re hearing it everywhere: this will be an El Nino year!  That means rain -- and this class will teach you how to capture some of that rain for use in your garden. You’ll also learn how to protect your landscape from erosion.  Come join us for this "we-like-rain" program!

This free class is located in the Amphitheater in the center of the Botanical Garden, on the west side of Polliwog Park. Free parking is available next to the Botanical Garden on Peck Avenue, or the adjacent lot at the end of Peck Avenue off Manhattan Beach Boulevard.

Please contact Julie to register at (310) 546-1354. You can refer to the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden website for information on their other programs.

More information on the City's Environmental Programs can be found on the Going Green website.

And to help you capture all that rain, West Basin is providing FREE RAIN BARRELS to residents. Please contact the South Bay Environmental Services Center at (310) 371-4633 and ask about the rain barrel program.
