Are you a little squeamish about bugs in your garden, squishing or spraying everything in sight? You may be eliminating insects that turn into beautiful butterflies or food that could attract colorful birds to your garden. Learn how to identify the good ones, and what can be done about the bad ones in an eco-friendly manner from Gretchen Renshaw – UCLA Instructor. Find out what insects have to offer and what their purpose is in nature. If you would like to have a specific insect identified, bring it to class in a sealed plastic bag.  Kids are welcome to come with their parents.

Location: Amphitheatre in the center of the Garden. MBBG is on the west side of Polliwog Park.

Free Parking: Next to MBBG on Peck Avenue, or the adjacent lot at the north end of Peck Ave.

Prior Registration: Please let us know you’re coming, to assure we have enough handouts (or in case of class cancellation). Leave the name of class, your contact info, and number of people. (No confirmation callbacks unless requested.)
