Bee Basics

Free Class at the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden

Learn the basics of beekeeping, as well as who to call to safely and responsibly remove bees when an unwanted hive moves onto your property. Bees need all the help they can get these days.  Learn to be a steward. An observation of a hive of live bees will be a feature of this class. Kids with parents are welcome! They will learn a love for nature an science and it doesn’t seem like homework.

Location: Amphitheatre in the center of the Garden. MBBG is on the west side of Polliwog Park.

Free Parking: Next to MBBG on Peck Avenue, or the adjacent lot at the north end of Peck Ave.

Prior Registration: Please let us know you’re coming, to assure we have enough handouts (or in case of class cancellation). Leave the name of class, your contact info, and number of people. (No confirmation callbacks unless requested.)
