Pizza with a Purpose to Benefit Pink Patch Project

October is recognized as National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and the Manhattan Beach Police Department is a proud partner of the Pink Patch Project. The Pink Patch Project is a campaign that helps bring attention and public awareness to those who have fought or are fighting breast cancer. This campaign also supports breast cancer research organizations in combating this terrible disease.

Annually, California Pizza Kitchen has supported the Pink Patch Project by joining fundraising efforts with the Manhattan Beach Police Department. On Wednesday, October 9th, a special fundraising event will be taking place at California Pizza Kitchen for MBPD’s Records Technician Teri Gaitan. Teri is a 29 year veteran with the Police Department, who is currently fighting cancer.

Additionally, 20% of your dine-in or take-out orders at the California Pizza Kitchen, Manhattan Beach location, will also be donated to Teri. Please come out and support Teri by having a delicious lunch or dinner from California Pizza Kitchen and check out some of MBPD’s brand new Pink Patch Project merchandise. Be sure to present this flyer at the time of your order and CPK will do the rest.

Also through the month of October, please be sure to stop by the Police Department Parking and Animal Control desk (Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) and purchase a newly designed challenge coin bottle opener, pink patch, traditional challenge coin, t-shirt, or lanyard. Purchases can also be made by e-mailing Officer Christopher Ineguez . See flyer for the pictures of the Pink Patch Project merchandise.
