There are seven small islands floating 70 miles west of Key West. They were discovered in 1513. Find out why the islands were named Dry Tortugas and meet a few locals and an abundance of sea turtles.

Today visitors arrive via ferry or seaplane. Learn about the 19-century Fort that still stands today, its rich historical uses as well as architecture designed to withstand the seas.
