The City of Manhattan Beach will be temporarily closing the Dune at Sand Dune Park beginning Friday, August 14, 2009. The City is closing the Dune at the park to address several issues regarding maintenance, as well as the impact the increased attendance at the Dune has had on the surrounding neighborhood and park. The rest of Sand Dune Park will remain open during this time.

The City of Manhattan Beach would also like to remind patrons of the Sand Dune Park that this is a residential area; please be mindful of the neighbors, respect the traffic laws, and obey the park rules.

The Dune will reopen once the maintenance issues have been completed.
