The City of Manhattan Beach Public Works/Engineering Department will be holding a Community Meeting for an upcoming project which will involve the resurfacing of Highland Avenue from 15th Street to 45th Street.
• Date of Meeting: Thursday, December 17, 2009
• 6:30 p.m.
• Joslyn Community Center Auditorium (1601 Valley Drive)
The proposed work will include:
• Street resurfacing
• Sidewalk, curb and gutter replacement
• Decorative patterned crosswalks at 34th, 35th and 36th Street
• New curb extensions at 34th, 39th, 42nd, 43rd, 44th and 45th Street
• New King Palm trees from 15th Street to 32nd Place.
If approved, the project is scheduled to start construction in February 2010 and should be completed by May of 2010. Residents on Highland Avenue and in the surrounding area are encouraged to attend the meeting. City Public Works and Engineering staff will be on hand to discuss the proposed work and answer questions.
