The Manhattan Beach Dial-A-Ride is a shared ride, curb-to-curb bus service for Manhattan Beach residents who are 55+ years old or disabled (all ages). Dial-A-Ride will provide transportation to any destination within the City of Manhattan Beach seven days a week and to most medical facilities in Torrance, Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach Monday through Friday. Dial-A-Ride also makes special trips to a variety of shopping destinations outside of the city on designated days of the week. Because it is a curb-to-curb service, Dial-A-Ride patrons should be waiting in front of their location at the designated pick-up time. Please visit the Dial-A-Ride page for more information.
WHO CAN RIDE?
The Manhattan Beach Dial-A-Ride is a shared ride, curb-to-curb bus service for Manhattan Beach residents who are 55+ years old or disabled (all ages). Riders who have a short-term disability are also eligible to ride by providing a letter from their physician. All buses are equipped with a wheelchair lift. Drivers provide boarding and disembarking assistance as needed. Contact our Dial-A-Ride dispatcher at (310) 545-3500 to sign up today.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Dial-A-Ride operates 7 days a week: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Trip Reservations may be made 7 days a week: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Dial-A-Ride is closed on the following holidays: January 1st, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, and December 25th.
For other holidays, limited service will be available and rides will only be provided within the City of Manhattan Beach.
HOW TO SIGN UP
Contact the Dial-A-Ride office at (310) 545-3500 or (310) 802-5162. Notify the dispatch operator that you are an eligible Manhattan Beach resident that would like to register as a rider. Please provide the dispatch operator with your name, address, telephone number and at least one emergency contact (spouse, family member, friend, doctor, etc.).
HOW TO RESERVE A RIDE
Residents may make reservations by calling (310) 545-3500, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Our office is closed for lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance. The service is provided on a first call, first served basis; consequently, reservations should be made as far in advance a possible.
