This project is part of the 2023-2024 Community Development Block Grant Program and will provide approximately twenty ADA-compliant curb access ramps to be installed and/or replaced at various locations throughout the City of Manhattan Beach, including removal of architectural and/or material barriers to provide a clear path of travel for elderly and/or severely disabled adults. Since 2017, CDBG funds have installed 88 ADA-compliant curb ramps.
This purpose of this project is to significantly improve the safety, mobility and accessibility of disabled persons and senior adults. around the City with a focus on ramp locations adjacent to schools.
