Refuse and Street Sweeping Holiday Schedule

The following holidays are observed by Waste Management (WM) and SCA of CA:

Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
New Year's Day

Refuse
Changes will be made to the collection schedule if a WM-observed holiday falls on a weekday (Monday - Friday). If your regular collection day falls on or after one of the weekday holidays, your refuse and recyclables will be picked up the following day.

If the WM-observed holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, no changes will be made to the residential collection schedule.

For example: If Memorial Day is on a Monday, and your regular collection day is Monday, then your service day will be postponed to Tuesday. If your regular collection day is Tuesday, your holiday collection day will be Wednesday. If your regular collection day is Wednesday, your holiday collection day will be Thursday. If your regular collection day is Thursday, your holiday collection day will be Friday. If your regular collection day is Friday, your holiday collection day will be Saturday.

Street Sweeping
Street sweeping will not occur on an SCA-observed holiday. If your regular street sweeping day falls on the observed holiday, no sweeping will occur, and will not be made up that week. No other sweeping days prior to or following the holiday will be affected.

For example: If Memorial Day is on a Monday, and your regular sweeping day is Monday, then your street will not be swept that week. All routes for Tuesday through Friday will be swept that week.
