Join us for a special meeting of the 2011 Environmental Task Force (ETF) on location at the West Basin Water Recycling facility in El Segundo. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd in support of International World Water Day, and its mission to bring attention to the impacts on urban water systems. (This meeting replaces the regularly scheduled March 17th meeting.)
As part of the ETF's Speaker Series we will hear a presentation from Elise Goldman on the importance of water conservation and the Water Reliability 2020 initiative. For those that are interested in learning about water reclamation, West Basin is offering a free tour of the facility prior to the start of the meeting (4:30 PM). All are welcome to attend, so please contact Sona Kalapura to RSVP for this meeting and with any questions you might have.
The goal of the ETF is to assist the City in promoting energy efficiency, water conservation, and zero waste practices. The City's Environmental Task Force holds public meetings on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Meetings are subject to change in the event of a National or State holiday. Check the City Calendar to note any changes in the meeting schedule.
