Join the City of Manhattan Beach in remembering the fallen heroes of the Manhattan Beach Police Department at the Fourth Annual Police Officer Memorial Ceremony. The community is invited to attend this ceremony, which honors and celebrates the lives of three Manhattan Beach Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty:
Officer Charles Frederick Grau, End of Watch - September 11, 1952
Officer Richard Timothy Giles, End of Watch - February 14, 1962
Officer Martin Lane Ganz, End of Watch - December 27, 1993
The ceremony will feature speakers including Mayor Richard Montgomery and Police Chief Rod Uyeda as well as vocal performances by the Manhattan Beach Middle School Madrigal Singers. The community is invited to attend and join the many police officers, firefighters, city staff and family members of our fallen officers as we pay tribute to these three fine men who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the Manhattan Beach community.
