The Cultural Arts Division of the Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department invites you to join the closing reception of Art of the Surf on Thursday, August 11th at the Creative Arts Center (CAC), 1560 Manhattan Beach Boulevard, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.

This event concludes the summer-long celebration of surf art organized by Zask Gallery in Palos Verdes, Cannery Row Studios in Redondo Beach, and Creative Arts Center in Manhattan Beach. In conjunction with the reception, poetry reading by the Manhattan Poets Workshop adds the poetic expression of art and surf. Companion booklet “Surfing Words 2011” will also be available.

This is the last chance to see surf art selected by Damian Fulton. Artists featured in the Manhattan Beach show are: Julia Laughlin Badham, John Brunnick, Jackson Casady, Roger Coar, Ron Croci, John S Culqui, Zen Del Rio, Bernard Fallon, Damian Fulton, Patty Grau, Christopher Haun, Edmond Maloney, Steve Nasker, Lowell Nickel, Diana Yu Rewinski, Blakeney Sanford, Kevin Short, Jennifer Siegal, and Norm Zareski.
