Traffic Advisory: Road closure on Pacific Avenue
Road closure on Pacific Avenue, between Valley Drive and 31st Street. The road is estimated to be closed until 9:00 PM this evening. SoCal Gas is repairing a sewer main on Pacific Avenue. Avoid the area.

Manhattan Beach Withdraws From Zero-Bail Litigation
Manhattan Beach withdrew its participation in a lawsuit filed by the City of Whittier and a coalition of other cities seeking an injunction to enjoin the recently adopted “zero-bail” schedule in Los Angeles County.

Manhattan Beach Police Department Investigates Stolen Plaque
The plaque at Bruce’s Beach Park describing the history of the site was reported stolen today. Installed in February last year, the stolen plaque held significant historical and cultural value.

Death Investigation at Waterline
MBPD officers were notified by Los Angeles County Lifeguards a deceased female was discovered on the sand near the 1300 block of the waterline. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Klosowski (310) 802-5123.

Property Owners Approve Storm Drain Measure
With the final votes tallied, the Manhattan Beach Storm Drain Measure garnered 52.65% of the vote in the recent election. The measure will increase the existing Storm Drain Fee, providing approximately $2.1 million per year to be used for Manhattan Beach storm drains.
